MGCC and MCC Meet March 23, 2023
Middle Georgia Chess Club hosted an unrated Team Chess Competition with Mercer Chess Club on 23 March 2023 at 1800 EST. It was a fun and exciting event between the two clubs! For Middle Georgia Chess Club, this was the first club versus club event since the formation of the club. Between the two clubs, over twenty players showed up to play. All players were able to play in the match.
Match Details
The match was a team competition consisting of players from each team playing a four round, 10 minute / 5 second increment match. Each round consisted of 4 games each. In the end Middle Georgia Chess Club bested Mercer Chess Club in a fun and exciting match. The spoils for the first, of many hopefully, matches between these two clubs will be bragging rights as a certificate to commemorate their superior performance with a sweet certificate.
