MGCC hosted the MIDDLE GEORGIA CHESS CLUB February Unrated, G10 Milledgeville, Georgia Friday, February 16, 2024, 6PM. EVENT OVERVIEW Five rounds, Swiss System, Unrated. Two sections: Open (1400+): Open to USCF rated 1400+. Reserve (everyone else): Open to USCF rated below 1400 and non-USCF members. Sections were assigned based on players’ Regular ratings published on official USCF website (https://new.uschess.org/player search). Prizes: 100% of the proceeds went to the winners (15 participants). Open: Tom Tran took 1st $45, Daniel Gentry took 2nd $23, Allen Stubbs took 3rd $15. Reserve: Charles Quinn took 1st $30, Matthew Marble and Timothy Marble tied for 2nd and 3rd $19 each. Time Control: G/10, increment 0. Pizzas, BBQ sticks and refreshments were provided free of charge. Schedule: Friday, February 16, 2024, 6pm start. Rounds: 1st 6:00pm, 2nd 6:30pm, 3rd 7:00pm, 4th 7:30pm; 5th 8:00pm.
