Middle Georgia March Conflict G30, Saturday, March 8th, 2025

The Middle Georgia Chess Club will host the Middle Georgia March Conflict G30 chess tournament Saturday March 8th, 2025, 10am start.

Event Overview:

Five rounds, Swiss System, USCF rated.
Two sections: Open (1400+): Open to USCF rated 1400+. Reserve (U1400): Open to USCF rated under 1400 and Unrated. Sections will be assigned based on players Regular ratings published on official USCF website (https://new.uschess.org/player-search). All participants must be registered members of US Chess Federation. Membership can be applied for on-site. Membership cost for USCF depends on age ($20-40) and is separate from the registration cost of this tournament.
Prizes: 100% of proceeds go to winners. Prizes based on 40 registrations. Open: 1st $300, 2nd $240, 3rd $144. Reserve: 1st $240, 2nd $180, 3rd $96.
Time Control: G/30, increment 0, USCF dual-rated (Regular and Quick).

Schedule: Saturday, March 8th, 2025, 10am start. On-site registration ends at 9:45am. All players, including pre-registrants, check in by 9:45am; call/text if going to be late. Rounds: 10:00am, 11:15am, 1:00pm, 2:15pm, 3:30pm.
Byes: 1/2-point byes available. Must request before 9:45am. 0-point byes available any time for any round.
Equipment: Players are encouraged, but not required, to bring their own chess clocks.
